Releasing Emotional Blockages and Stress Under the Full Moon

There’s something about the Full Moon that makes everything feel a little more intense. Emotions run higher, our thoughts get louder, and if you're anything like me, stress tends to rise to the surface whether you want it to or not.

But I’ve learned not to fight it.

The Full Moon has become a powerful mirror for me. It reflects what I’ve been pushing down—old emotional patterns, unspoken stress, feelings I didn’t have the time or energy to deal with in the moment. And while that might sound overwhelming, it’s actually become a beautiful part of my self-care.

The thing is, we all carry emotional residue. Little bits of disappointment, frustration, fear, or tension that build up over time. Sometimes it’s a quiet background hum, and sometimes it roars when we least expect it. But either way, it wants to move. It wants to be acknowledged and released.

For me, the Full Moon offers a natural invitation to do just that.

It’s not about doing a perfect ritual or following any specific words or steps. It’s about giving yourself permission to feel what you’ve been avoiding and to let it go—without needing to understand all the “why’s.” Maybe it’s stress from overcommitting. Maybe it’s the emotional aftermath of a conversation that left you unsettled. Or maybe it’s just the exhaustion of constantly holding it all together.

When the Moon is full, the sky is bright, and it’s like our inner worlds are just as illuminated. Emotions that have been hiding in the shadows come into view—not to punish us, but to offer us healing. To show us what we’re ready to release.

Sometimes, that release looks like crying in the bath. Sometimes it’s laughing at how seriously we’ve been taking everything. Sometimes it’s journaling late at night or having a heartfelt talk with a friend. And sometimes, it’s simply lying still with one hand on your heart, whispering, I see you. You’re safe now. You can let go.

There’s no right way to do it. What matters is presence. What matters is softness.

We are not meant to carry everything forever. And the Full Moon reminds us of that. Just like the moon eventually wanes, our stress can ebb. Our emotional heaviness can lift. We can begin again.

So if you’re feeling the weight of things this week—emotionally blocked, over-stretched, quietly overwhelmed—know that you’re not alone. And know that this lunar moment might be exactly what your soul needs to exhale.

Let yourself release.

You are allowed to feel it all, and you are allowed to let it all go.

In the glow of the Full Moon, everything is seen—and everything is welcome to be set free.

With love and lunar light,

Christine
