Finding Harmony Between the Sabbats: Preparing for Beltane with Intention

You know that odd little liminal space between the Sabbats? Right now, we’re floating between Ostara’s blooming beginnings and the full fiery celebration of Beltane. There’s no major Sabbat to mark this moment, but honestly… I kind of love this in-between space.
It’s like a cosmic exhale.
This is the quiet before the Beltane bonfire — the time when we plant metaphorical seeds, tidy our inner altars, and align with the rhythm of the Earth without rushing to the next thing.
So what do we do when there’s “nothing” to do?
I’ve been leaning into this question lately. Between juggling classes, Reiki clients, and the creative chaos of prepping new offerings (more on that soon 👀), I’ve been craving something simple: harmony.
Not balance (because let’s be honest, that word implies perfection) — but harmony. Like a well-blended sound bath or a perfectly imperfect Tarot spread.
Here are a few ways I’m inviting harmony into my life right now — maybe they’ll inspire you too as we inch toward Beltane:
🌿 1. Plant Actual Seeds (Literally!)
There's something deeply grounding about getting your hands in the soil. As the Earth wakes up, meet her halfway by planting seeds — herbs, flowers, veggies, whatever speaks to you. This simple act connects you to the rhythm of the season and sets a physical intention for growth. Bonus: you get to watch your little green friends flourish as Beltane blooms.
🔔 2. Sound Healing for the Heart Chakra
Beltane is ruled by Venus energy — sensual, loving, heart-opening vibes. So lately I’ve been focusing my sound baths on the heart chakra. Tuning forks, crystal bowls, or even just humming can create a vibrational reset.
Even 5 minutes of humming with intention can shift your frequency — try it after a stressful day and thank me later 💚
🌸 3. Bring Magic Into the Mundane
This is the season where the Earth is waking up but not quite in full bloom. That’s kind of where we are too. So I’ve been infusing a little enchantment into my everyday:
Stirring herbs into my tea with a whispered wish
Wearing my favorite jewelry like armor
Picking a daily card and letting it guide my mood (yesterday’s card told me to nap, so I listened)
🔮 4. Prepare Your Sacred Tools
If you’re like me, your altar (or your Tarot decks, or your pendulums, or your half-finished witchy DIYs) might need a little TLC. This is the perfect time to cleanse, recharge, and reconnect with your tools before the electric energy of Beltane hits.
Smoke-cleansing, moonlight, Florida Water — whatever your method, let it be an act of devotion, not a chore.
💗 5. Reconnect with Pleasure
Beltane is allll about sensuality — and that doesn’t just mean sexy stuff. It means pleasure, in all forms. I’ve been asking myself:
“What actually feels good to me right now?”
Not what’s productive. Not what’s expected. Just… what feels good?
Sometimes the answer is dancing barefoot to 2000s throwback jams. Sometimes it’s laying in bed with a book and pretending I’m a heroine in a windswept Victorian romance, pining by candlelight as a mysterious letter arrives from a long-lost love. Sometimes it’s chocolate for breakfast.
This quiet space before Beltane is a gift. It’s not about doing more — it’s about syncing with the pulse of the Earth and hearing your own heartbeat again.
So if you’ve felt a little “off” or out of rhythm lately, you’re not alone. Use this time to soften, to align, and to whisper sweet nothings to your spirit. Beltane will come soon enough, bringing its spark and wildness — but for now, we rest and reset.
Sending you peace, petals, and just enough magic 💫
